In the last 25 years, it is estimated that more than 200,000 animals have been poisoned in Spain, approximately three million tonnes of electrical waste have been illegally exported from the EU every year, 25 million birds have been killed annually by illegal hunting, catching, and trapping in the Mediterranean basin, and 500,000 hectares have been burned in Europe by human-caused fires. 59.46% of bird deaths are due to human activities.
